The main base soap is clear glycerine soap. It makes colors very vibrant and strengthens the softer soap bases. The secondary soap is a shea butter soap. This base leaves hands feeling very soft and is mostly opaque white. Soap dyes are similar to food dyes and fragrances and essential oils are used for scent. Many people have become allergic to synthetic fragrances, so essential oils are a great alternative! While you do not get all of the variety with scents, essential oils are strong and commonly used in aromatherapy.
