n n2015 Nick Anderson & The Skinny Lovers emerged on the scene with their release of Ephrem Pt. 1 - the first part of what would become a 3 part album: Ephrem. With the release of Ephrem Pt. 2 in 2017 their songs began to garner national attention; securing a number 1 spot on independent radio charts on the east coast, and licensing deals with MTV, E!TV, and NETFLIX.
Of the many notable shows this past year Anderson & the Lovers played shows all over the Midwest opening for Sam Llanas (formerly of The BoDeans), headlining Wausau's Concert on the Square, and being featured on Summerfest’s Emerging Artist Series in Milwaukee.
Led by the frontman Nick Anderson's powerful vocals and business acumen as an UW- Eau Claire alum, the Skinny Lovers have been an active part of the vibrant Eau Claire music community since 2015, playing at Phoenix Park's Summer Concert Series, Festival in the Pines, Open mic's at the Plus, and many other local venues - winning them the Best Rock Band That Isn't Bon Iver 2019 award - a public poll by Volume One.
