Grief in Movement
Wintertime Carousel is the newest project in Simon Adler’s development as a songwriter. Simon Adler, born and raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin now resides in Eugene, Oregon, studying at the University of Oregon. Here he has experimented with sounds and musical ideas that have coalesced into a new musical project, Wintertime Carousel. Wintertime Carousel combines reverb soaked guitars, simple drumbeats, solid bass lines, slides, and vocal harmonies creating a unique indie folk rock sound. Interestingly, Wintertime Carousel exists in a diploid state, calling home to both the Eugene and Eau Claire music scenes. The Eugene band consists of Simon Adler, Evan Marquardt, Leo Lober-Tracy, Ben Rice, and Ryan Tarbet. Together they are recording the band’s debut album: Grief in Movement. Recorded between December 2009 and March 2010 at the Shack and various other locations around Eugene, Oregon and Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Wintertime Carousel's debut Album.
