Handy Andy: The Andy Pafko Story
Andy Pafko lived a life removed from that of most current professional athletes: a rural life of hard work, family, and much-cherished trips to the family ball field. Joe Niese provides an entertaining look at Pafko's hopes, fears, faith, and eventual triumphs. Joe Niese is a librarian and member of the Society for American Baseball Research. His articles on baseball have appeared in The National Pastime and Nine: A Journal of Baseball History and Culture. His first book was Burleigh Grimes: Baseball's Last Legal Spitballer. He lives in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
