Walk Between Drops
The bad was soon approached by Krapp Records to record a new EP. "Walk Between Drops" was released in April of 2005, and take major steps in progress from the band's previous release. "On their second EP, this Staten Island, NY dou play a brooding and introverted guitar rock which sounds like a less noisy Sonic Youth combined with the quieter side of Sebadoh. This is not to say they can't strike up a minor racket every now and then; see the irritated "Everyone's an Expert" for proof. But more often, they adopt a calm and laid-back vibe, which is even pretty in spots, with restlessness and anxiety always bubbling below the surface. Meanwhile, JS's (no names given) vocals are measured and composed, despite the exasperation in his lyrics, with a style akin to Lou Reed. Not bad, though the song writing and production should be fleshed out more (the guitar sounds too muted) come album time."
