"As musicians, many of us have known someone whose life has been affected by drugs or alcohol. Inspired by a 1930's Gibson acoustic, the idea to invite friends to come record a song using this guitar birthed "The Gibson Sessions," a compilation record to benefit people looking to get help.
Creating this album is the beginning of creating awareness and fostering understanding for artists, musicians, and others affected by alcohol and drug use. Proceeds from album and merchandise slaes will be available to help offset the cost of accessing services for Alchol and other Drug Abuse. Our hope is to help individuals receive services in an affordable fashion that is non-labeling and less intimidating."
This compilation features songs by Chris Porterfield (Field Report), Addie Strei (Adelyn Rose), Trevor Ives (Meridene), Todd Barneson (The Rattlenecks), Josh Ingersoll (The Heart Pills), and Sarah Krueger, among others.
